In 2009, we conducted a separate study to evaluate BMR and non-BMR hybrids using two different laboratories, Dairy One and Cumberland Valley Ag Services. Cumberland Valley also performed a 12 hour NIR based NDFD assessment of the hybrids for comparison as well. These are preliminary results: more details and interpretation will follow.

Note: The Mid Maturity data set has had minor updates to the mean milk/ton ratings. The new files were loaded on the server early in the morning of November 7, 2006.
These files allow users to sort the mean hybrid performance information by any of the performance traits. The files include data from the early (93-103d) test conducted in Bradford and Tioga Counties, the early medium maturity (105-110d) tests, the mid maturity (110-115d) tests and the late maturity (115-120d) tests. Each file contains spreadsheets with mean as well as individual location data, plus some graphs depicting hybrid performance. A complete written report on these trials will be posted shortly. The files include data from the early (100-105d) test conducted in Erie County, the early meduim maturity (105-110d) tests, the mid maturity (110-115d) tests and the late maturity (115-120d) tests. Each file contains spreadsheets with mean as well as individual location data, plus some graphs depicting hybrid performance. A complete written report on these trials will be posted shortly.
