The Penn State Agronomy Guide, our summary of agronomic recommendations for all major crops, should be on the internet by early March. The new Agronomy Guide was published this fall and contains all of the update insect and weed control recommendations for agronomic crops. The address for the guide is: agguide.agronomy.psu.edu. The electronic version of the web will allow users to access this information free of charge from their computer. The electronic verison will also allow us to update the web as needed. The print version is still a good resource- you ought to have one of those as well. These are available at all of the Penn State County Extension offices for $9.00.

The Guide is not the only corn resource on the PSU world wide web sites. We also have the Penn State Hybrid Corn Test Reports and other variety test reports on the web at: http://cropsoil.psu.edu/extension/extension.cfm. You should also stop by and visit the Penn State Corn and Soybean Management page at the same address. There we have listed some of our current research reports and some of our favorite internet sites.

If you are not on the web, consider getting on. Its relatively simple and computers are way down in price. As I travel around the state I find more and more farmers are using the internet to access corn information and to communicate with each other. With all of us as busy as we are today, email and the internet are excellent ways to communicate with each other.
